Autumn leaves and winter winds...

It's been a while since I've posted anything here...I must admit that I've kept up more with news on http://www.quillandlink.blogspot.com/, but not much has gone on related to Riverstone House.

We held off on the riverbank clearing. Originally we were rushing the project for my father...he had dreams of fishing from walking the shoreline and fishing off a dock. Unfortunately, his health has waned and that's a dream that may not come to fruition anytime soon.

The holidays came and went in a whirlwind. We had a small Thanksgiving dinner at our home with Kurt's mom and step-dad; we held a winter solstice service; we had our first Christmas together as a family at home, then visited my family in NY afterwards; and, for New Year's, Kurt and I went down to VA Beach to see his family there.

But with winter settling in, and my upcoming 2-year anniversary at Riverstone House coming up on January 31st, I'm hoping to finish up the final details for the guest bathroom (including installing a granite vanity top which I won a Gift Certificate for in a Silent Auction!) and painting the girls' bedroom....
